OneBeat Lounge – Sehsüchte Filmfestival 2013

Zum dritten Mal hat OneBeat den Bus voller Musiker gepackt und hat Kurs auf Potsdam aufgenommen. Das Sehsüchte Filmfestival zog wieder mal junge Filmschaffende aus aller Welt an und lud sie zum aktiven Dialog in die Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen nach Babelsberg ein. Auch wir waren mit dabei und ELEPHANT hat für uns in der Festival-Lounge live gespielt! Dafür noch mal ein Riesen Dankeschön! Danke auch für die Bilder von Sehsüchte-Fotografin Karo Krämer.

OneBeat Showcase, Karneval der Kulturen 2013 , Sunday 19.05 13h-19h

On sunday the 19th of May we’re back to the Viva con Agua Stage at Karneval der Kulturen 2013 for the third time. In the middle of the Carnival’s street festival between 4 big stages and around 300 market stalls we’ll be running a small stage in Zossener Straße. We’re excited to have a long eclectic acoustic block with Lavoisier, Get High Fiona and Anna Morley and also invited Moarice and Bacalao & Sonne LIVE so we can have a proper dance in the afternoon. Our time table for sunday is:

Our partner Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli is a charity organisation and open network, working for the funding and implementation of water projects around the world and thus enabling people to access clean water. OneBeat concert evening at Sehsüchte Lounge! Elephant LIVE, Friday 26 April

Like the last two years we’ll be back in Potsdam. From April 23 to 28, 2013 SEHSÜCHTE, Europe’s largest international student film festival, will take place in Brandenburg’s film capital Potsdam for the 42st time. It’s entirely organized by students of the HFF, and dedicated to the international young generation of filmmakers. For the third time OneBeat will be hosting a nice and cosy lounge concert evening for the film festival. Hats off for our new band Elephant!

Elephant are the “contemporary melodic groove collective”. Drums, Bass and Piano by Christoph, Antti and Marco. Various elements from jazz, popculture, classical, contemporary and electronica, whilst improvisation is the underlying core.

See you all friday!

Studio70 w/ Bacalao & Sonne LIVE, Ma Tias & James A. Shaw, Fri 19.04, 23h Brunnen70

On friday the OneBeat event season kicks off with a showcase in our favourite basement in Wedding. We didn’t throw a proper dance party in a while so it’s about time. We invited the tech-house duo and live-act Bacalao & Sonne to present some new tunes in one of their energetic live-sets, alongside James A. Shaw and Ma Tias, both finest selectors when it comes to house and disco. Visuals will be provided by our RTZ23. Our friends from Barfuss and Brunnen70 invited the great Toby Dreher plus the excellent residents Mathias Meindl and Jean Ferré. Looks like a something you should dance to, come along!

Photos: OneBeat concerts #2 w/ Elephant & Lavoisier @ Michelberger Hotel 23.11

On friday the 23rd of November, we organized a concert night in the lobby of the Michelberger Hotel, with two beautiful concerts by Lavoisier and Elephant. Ma Tias was playing some of his favorite tunes after the concerts. Massive thanks to the Michelberger Hotel for making it happen and to everyone who came along! What a great night!

2013 is coming up and this was our last event for this year. We’re looking into further improving our project and are looking forward to lots more nice events for 2013. So stay tuned, you’ll hear from us!
