OneBeat connects non-profit projects in the area of Berlin.
In this section we want to introduce sustainable projects we like and support. OneBeat connects creative work with local musicians and artists with the aim of supporting various social projects in Berlin. Through the cooperation with projects that aren´t necessarily related to a musical context, we want to raise awareness for social responsibility. Therefore we seek to cooperate with projects that show a honest commitment.

VIVA CON AGUA DE SANKT PAULI e.V.
OneBeat is cooperating with Viva con Agua and supports campaigns for a better supply of clean drinking water in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
Nearly one billion people worldwide lack access to clean drinking water. For the Hamburg-based charity organization Viva con Agua this is motivation enough (actually more than enough!) to get involved. With creative and original campaigns, Viva con Agua is raising funds and awareness for drinking water projects of the German Welthungerhilfe, which by following the principle of helping others to help themselves is committed to providing clean drinking water and adequate sanitary facilities for countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
Viva con Agua currently supports several of Welthungerhilfe’s numerous projects. One of those is to improve hygienic standards in Burkina Faso through the construction of latrines and soakaway-pits. In another project, facilities for drinking water supply, sanitation and sprinkler systems are being established in the North Indian states Bundelkhand, Bihar and Jharkhand. The goal here is, along with allowing a basic level of hygiene in the everyday of the population, to increase agricultural yields in these – India’s economically weakest regions. So far, by promoting initiatives for clean drinking water and sanitation, Viva con Agua has helped to sustainably improve the living conditions of more than one hundred thousand people around the globe.
Since September 2008, there exists an active Viva con Agua crew in Berlin. With campaigns such as “Wata Slam” (2009), the “Kick It Like Water” football competition, and numerous concerts, for example at the city’s “Karneval der Kulturen” (Carnival of the Cultures), several professional fundraising activities have been run here so far.
At this point the potential for synergies between our non-profit music project and this charity for clean drinking water become apparent. Therefore, OneBeat now supports Viva con Agua by organizing concerts, by providing events and parties with young and talented Berlin-based artists, and by offering extensive cooperation for activities during festivals and the like.

BLU:BOKS e.V.
blu:boks Berlin is a non-commercial project based in Berlin-Lichtenberg and encourages underprivileged youngsters to discover their creative side.
At major stage events the youngsters get the chance to express themselves artistically. Assisted by experienced people with a background in acting, music, dance and film, the kids organize their very own professional theatre event. After nine months of preparation, the fruits of their work are presented to the public on one of Berlin’s numerous theatre stages.
Alongside, blu:boks offers their protégées support and supervision in the struggles of the everyday, whether this be a job application training or help in personal matters. blu:boks’s ambition is to have a lasting positive impact on the lives of the often frustrated youngsters. Therefore, all of blu:boks’s activities are meant to help this generation develop and establish a healthy dose of self-esteem and confidence.

FAIRBINDUNG e.V.
OneBeat supports Fairbindung for educational projects in Berlin.
Due to the enhanced complexity of global challenges in the 21st century, new pedagogical approaches are necessary in order to fit today’s adolescents with orientation competencies and capacities to act in a sense of one social world.
The projects aim to teach young people creative competences and to sensitize them for a holistic, (self-)critical view on our globalized world and their own part in it. Against the background of an uncertain future, the educational initiatives of FairBindung Inc. are designed to provide the following generation with competences in making choices that enable them to play an active part in the future building process.
The project “Schule fairändern” was awarded a UN-project of the decade by the German UNESCO-commission. Furthermore, the educational work of FairBindung is approved by the administration for education, science and research of the Berlin senate. Additionally, Fairbindung supports fair and self-determined trade in Guatemala.
