On Saturday the 24th our first “Experimental Session” took place in Joao Cocteau in Neukölln. With the sessions we start our approach to small events based on experimental music and music performance.
We invited our artist Schloss Mirabell to play a concert based on her productions, cello and soundtoys. To our positive surprise she invited Nicholas Bussman, a Berlin-based musician and composer, to perform alongside.
Nicholas plays the cello, explores electronic productions and has long term collaborations with several artists. One of them is Telebossa (www.telebossa.com), an “interplay between musical cultures and the incessant exploration of Samba, Jazz and Chamber Music”.
With 2 Cellos, 2 Laptops and several Soundtoys the evening was shaping up to a very exclusive show. The outcome of the 1 hour+ show was a entertaining mix of Florina’s electronic ambient productions accompanied by 2 cellos, music performance with sound toys and an interpretation of Nicholas’s productions.
We hope everyone enjoyed the event as much as we did. Big thanks to Florina (Schloss Mirabell), Nicholas Bussmann, Joao Cocteau for their lovely space and to all who came to see the show. To be continued…
Nicholas Bussmann will be performing with Telebossa at Kater Holzig on Wednesday, 28th of September.
Be sure to check it out.
