It’s been almost 3 weeks since Karneval der Kulturen 2013, apologies for the late review. On sunday the 19th of May we presented our OneBeat showcase on Viva con Agua’s street market area for the third time. The weather and the summer mood where perfect and it feels like it was the only real summer day in the last weeks. We’re glad the sun is back to Berlin now. For the Karneval, OneBeat artists played for free to support our friends from the charitable organization Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli, campaigning for clean drinking water worldwide. Be sure to donate or support them. The day kicked of with electro acoustic music by Anna Morley, Phil Loof & Dhari Vij, followed by portuguese folk from Lavoisier and balkan electronica from Get High Fiona. After the concerts, DJ Moarice took control of the decks with his blend of electro-swing and summer vibes, the streets where getting busy and soon we had a proper dance party going on. Alex and Paul from Bacalao & Sonne put the cherry on top of our showcase, performing one of their amazing tech-house live-acts.
Massive thanks to Lavoisier, Get High Fiona, Anna Morley & Band, DJ Moarice, Bacalao & Sonne and of course to Viva con Agua in Berlin and the whole team. This year we also presented our social good partner blu:boks Berlin, an organization that provides creative learning opportunities for children and teenagers in Berlin-Lichtenberg.
